R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Public education is an endeavor in which all Texans |
|
|
have a stake, and those individuals who devote themselves to the |
|
|
academic development of our state's young people are truly |
|
|
deserving of our utmost respect and admiration; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, January 2007 is School Board Recognition Month, and |
|
|
this auspicious occasion provides a fitting opportunity to pay |
|
|
tribute to an outstanding school board member who has demonstrated |
|
|
great dedication to the education of youth in the Lone Star State; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ben Garza, Jr. of the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo |
|
|
Independent School District Board of Trustees has played a vital |
|
|
role in helping to create an enriching and rewarding learning |
|
|
environment that is preparing young Texans to meet the challenges |
|
|
and opportunities that lie ahead; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Providing for the diverse educational needs of the |
|
|
future leaders of our state and nation is an undertaking of |
|
|
paramount importance, and it is most appropriate to honor this |
|
|
caring public servant who continually strives to accomplish this |
|
|
significant goal; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Ben Garza, Jr. of the Pharr-San |
|
|
Juan-Alamo Independent School District Board of Trustees for |
|
|
demonstrating a true commitment to the education of the youth of |
|
|
Texas and extend to this distinguished individual sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ben Garza, Jr. as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
