R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the Friendswood Chamber of Commerce are |
|
|
visiting the State Capitol on February 21, 2007, and their |
|
|
attendance provides a fitting opportunity to recognize the |
|
|
achievements of these outstanding civic leaders; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, An organization of businesses, professionals, and |
|
|
citizens, the chamber pursues the goal of supporting Friendswood |
|
|
through economic and community development programs, working |
|
|
diligently to promote the growth and advancement of the town; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This notable organization has been a driving force |
|
|
in attracting and keeping businesses in the community; in addition, |
|
|
the chamber offers services to welcome newcomers, provide |
|
|
information to visitors, raise funds for area schools, and promote |
|
|
leadership development and networking opportunities; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The direction and planning provided by the |
|
|
Friendswood Chamber of Commerce have been truly invaluable to the |
|
|
betterment of this Gulf Coast community, and it is indeed a pleasure |
|
|
to honor the chamber at this time; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby welcome the Friendswood Chamber of Commerce to |
|
|
the State Capitol and commend all those associated with the group |
|
|
for their dedicated service to their community. |
