R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Sara McDaniel of Angleton has deservedly been
  honored with the Pioneer Award from the Greater Angleton Chamber of
  Commerce in recognition of her many contributions to the betterment
  of her community and her devotion to the pioneer principles of
  service, honor, faith, and family; and
         WHEREAS, Through the years, Mrs. McDaniel has volunteered
  countless hours to a host of civic organizations, benefiting each
  with her outstanding willingness to serve; and
         WHEREAS, A 2006 ambassador for the Angleton Chamber of
  Commerce, she has given of her time and talents as a charter member
  of the Angleton Danbury Medical Center Auxiliary for the past 38
  years; her long history of volunteerism also includes work with the
  Angleton Band Boosters, Women's Study Club, PTA, local bridge
  clubs, Girl Scouts of the USA, and the First United Methodist
  Church; and
         WHEREAS, In all of her endeavors, this loving wife, mother,
  and grandmother has enjoyed the support of her husband, Bill
  McDaniel, her daughter, Donna Koks, and her grandson, Will Koks;
  and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. McDaniel is an inspiration to all who know her,
  and her efforts in behalf of the community she is proud to call home
  have made her worthy of the recognition bestowed on her by the
  Angleton Chamber of Commerce, as well as the respect and admiration
  of all those who are privileged to know her; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Sara McDaniel on being named
  Pioneer of the Year by the Greater Angleton Chamber of Commerce and
  commend her for her dedicated civic service; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mrs. McDaniel as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
