R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and
  meaningful accomplishments may comfort the family and friends of
  James M. Reeh of West Orange, who passed away on August 23, 2006, at
  the age of 79; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Fredericksburg on January 9, 1927, Mr. Reeh
  was the son of Ernst and Elizabeth Staudt Reeh; he was a veteran of
  the U.S. Army and served his country in both World War II and the
  Korean War; and
         WHEREAS, A professional watchmaker, Mr. Reeh worked at
  Staudt's Jewelry in Orange for more than half a century and served
  as president and secretary of the Texas Watchmakers Association; he
  was a valued member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Orange County
  C.R.A.C. and Rescue Unit, and the National and Texas State Rifle
  Associations, and he was active with the Southeast Texas Sportsman
  Club; and
         WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known James Reeh will
  remember his love of family, community, and country, and although
  he will be deeply missed, his unique spirit will live on in the
  hearts of those whose lives he touched; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of James M. Reeh and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife of
  53 years, Beverly Hurst Reeh; to his children, Wayne Reeh and his
  wife, Elaine, Gary Reeh, and Connie Forse and her husband, Dale; to
  his grandchildren, Kristen and Keith McCurry, and his
  great-granddaughter, Bailey McCurry; to his brothers, Tommy and
  Robbie Reeh; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of James M.
  Reeh.
