R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A 65th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love
  and shared experiences, and Newton and Beth Bond of Greenville
  observed this joyous milestone in their marriage on February 7,
  2007; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bond were united in matrimony in 1942,
  at a ceremony held in Athens, Texas; through the years, they have
  been blessed with a treasured family that includes three children
  and their spouses, Paula and Ron Ivey, Ange and Bill Moreland, and
  Kent and Charlene Bond, as well as six grandchildren and five
  great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Bond, a World War II veteran, is retired from
  Southland Corporation Chemical Division, and Mrs. Bond was employed
  in retail and as a professional seamstress; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bond have enjoyed 6-1/2 decades of
  abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among a
  remarkable group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
  commitment; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Newton and Beth Bond on their 65th
  wedding anniversary and extend to them best wishes for continued
  happiness together; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Bond as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
