R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, J. R. Gutierrez has been named the 2006 Firefighter |
|
|
of the Year by the Val Verde County Rural Volunteer Fire Department; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Selected for this honor by his peers, Mr. Gutierrez |
|
|
is a six-year veteran of the department; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure as a firefighter, this notable |
|
|
Texan has proven to be an invaluable resource to the organization, |
|
|
demonstrating unwavering dedication to his community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Gutierrez is an inspiration to his fellow |
|
|
firefighters, and his outstanding service to Val Verde County |
|
|
continues to make it a better and safer place in which to live, |
|
|
work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate J. R. Gutierrez on being named the |
|
|
2006 Firefighter of the Year by the Val Verde County Rural Volunteer |
|
|
Fire Department and extend to him best wishes for the future; and, |
|
|
be it further |

|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Gutierrez as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
