R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Paul Sarvadi is celebrating his 50th birthday with |
|
|
family and friends on February 17, 2007, and his observance of this |
|
|
special milestone in his life provides an opportune time to reflect |
|
|
on his many notable achievements; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Born in Columbus, Ohio, on January 27, 1957, |
|
|
Mr. Sarvadi attended Rice University and the University of Houston |
|
|
before embarking on his notable career as an entrepreneur and |
|
|
businessman; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Sarvadi currently serves as chairman of the |
|
|
board and chief executive officer of Administaff, the company he |
|
|
cofounded in 1986; he initially served as vice president and |
|
|
treasurer of the company before attaining his current post in 1989; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Under Mr. Sarvadi's guidance, Administaff has |
|
|
established itself as a highly successful professional employer |
|
|
organization, and the company continues to meet the day-to-day |
|
|
human resource needs of small and medium-sized businesses across |
|
|
America; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This esteemed business leader is a former president |
|
|
and board member of the National Association of Professional |
|
|
Employer Organizations; moreover, he presided over the Texas |
|
|
chapter of NAPEO for three of its first four years of existence; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Sarvadi currently serves on the DePelchin |
|
|
Children's Center Board of Trustees; his honors and accolades |
|
|
include the 2001 National Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year |
|
|
Award for service industries as well as that organization's Houston |
|
|
award in 1995; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Sarvadi enjoys the love |
|
|
and support of his wife of 32 years, Vicki; together they have |
|
|
raised six children, Shannon, Cynthia, Diana, Kristen, Wes, and |
|
|
Brittany, while also welcoming into the fold grandchildren Lauren, |
|
|
Carter, Christian, Jake, Julia, Tyler, Rylie, Kate, Sarah, and |
|
|
Joshua; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Paul Sarvadi is an accomplished and admired member |
|
|
of Houston's business community, as well as a devoted family man, |
|
|
and he may indeed look to the future with anticipation and optimism |
|
|
as he awaits the opportunities that lie ahead; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That Paul Sarvadi be congratulated on the |
|
|
celebration of his 50th birthday and that he be extended best wishes |
|
|
for continued success and happiness. |
