R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The San Antonio Public Library Board of Directors |
|
|
has announced its 2006 Library Champions, and it is a pleasure to |
|
|
honor these notable recipients; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Conferred on individuals and organizations that |
|
|
have made contributions of time, talent, or resources in support of |
|
|
the city's public library system, the Library Champion mantle |
|
|
recognizes sustained support of the library system; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Honored this year were the Collins Garden |
|
|
Neighborhood Association, Mr. Dennis Martinez, Amigos de Memorial |
|
|
Library/the Friends of Memorial Branch Library, and the Newman |
|
|
family, John, Anne, and Olivia Newman; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through varied pursuits, each of this year's |
|
|
honorees provided assistance that has resulted in improved service |
|
|
for patrons of the San Antonio Public Library System, and they are |
|
|
all worthy of special recognition; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the San Antonio Public Library |
|
|
Board's 2006 Library Champions and commend them for their efforts |
|
|
to enhance public library service; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the recipients as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
