R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The 100th birthday of an esteemed Texan is truly |
|
|
cause for celebration, and Jackie Lawless of Grand Saline observed |
|
|
this noteworthy milestone in her life on January 20, 2007; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The matriarch of a large and loving family, Mrs. |
|
|
Lawless is the mother of three sons, Jerry and Wes Lawless and James |
|
|
Sprague; she has been further blessed with nine grandchildren, ten |
|
|
great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Lawless counts among her talents and interests |
|
|
oil painting, quilting, and bingo; she is known for her wonderful |
|
|
sense of humor, as well as her characteristic positive attitude |
|
|
that continues to inspire her wide circle of family, friends, and |
|
|
admirers; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Jackie Lawless has been a source of joy and |
|
|
happiness to all who have been privileged to know her, and it is a |
|
|
pleasure to honor her on 100 years of life well lived; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jackie Lawless on the joyous |
|
|
occasion of her 100th birthday and extend to her best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mrs. Lawless as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
