			 | 
       WHEREAS, Bridget Yeung has received the 2007 Vicki Hamilton  | 
| 
 
			 | 
Award from the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce for her generous  | 
| 
 
			 | 
service to the community; and | 
| 
 
			 | 
       WHEREAS, A resident of Sugar Land, Ms. Yeung has shared her  | 
| 
 
			 | 
time and talents with several worthwhile organizations, including  | 
| 
 
			 | 
the Fort Bend YMCA, for which she served as a board member and led  | 
| 
 
			 | 
the efforts to establish an after-school program at Sugar Land  | 
| 
 
			 | 
Middle School, and the Sugar Land Cultural Arts Foundation, for  | 
| 
 
			 | 
which she is a founding director and vice president; and | 
| 
 
			 | 
       WHEREAS, Ms. Yeung also has a distinguished record of civic  | 
| 
 
			 | 
leadership, having served as a member of the Sugar Land Police  | 
| 
 
			 | 
Advisory Committee, the city's redistricting committee, and the  | 
| 
 
			 | 
Sugar Land 4B Corporation, and she continues to serve as a member of  | 
| 
 
			 | 
the planning and zoning committee; moreover, the Fort Bend Chamber  | 
| 
 
			 | 
of Commerce, for which she serves as vice chair of education, has  | 
| 
 
			 | 
greatly benefited from her dedicated involvement; and | 
| 
 
			 | 
       WHEREAS, Admired by many in Fort Bend County for her selfless  | 
| 
 
			 | 
character and sense of purpose, Ms. Yeung is an invaluable asset to  | 
| 
 
			 | 
the community, and it is fitting to recognize her for her many  | 
| 
 
			 | 
accomplishments; now, therefore, be it | 
| 
 
			 | 
       RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas  | 
| 
 
			 | 
Legislature hereby honor Bridget Yeung on her receipt of the 2007  | 
| 
 
			 | 
Vicki Hamilton Award from the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce and  | 
| 
 
			 | 
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and  | 
| 
 
			 | 
happiness; and, be it further | 
| 
 
			 | 
       RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be  | 
| 
 
			 | 
prepared for Ms. Yeung as an expression of high regard by the Texas  | 
|
