H.R. No. 430
 
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life came to an end with the
  passing of Temple resident Doris Angeline Garner Williams on
  January 10, 2007; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Williams was born in Belton and graduated from
  Belton High School; she married William Curtis Williams on August
  14, 1937, and the pair welcomed four cherished children into their
  lives; and
         WHEREAS, A devoted homemaker, Mrs. Williams was a longtime
  member of the PTA, which she served as president; she was employed
  outside the home during World War II while Mr. Williams was serving
  in the navy, and they later purchased a ranch near Troy, where they
  raised cattle; and
         WHEREAS, This beloved woman was a valued member of her
  community and was always willing to give of her time and talents to
  help others; her volunteer work included service with Burmont
  Nursing Home and Meals on Wheels, and she was a valued member of
  First Baptist Church and later Canyon Creek Baptist Church; and
         WHEREAS, Held in the highest regard by all who knew her, Mrs.
  Williams built a life that was rich in family and friends; she will
  be deeply missed, but her generosity of spirit and her unfailing
  kindness will not soon be forgotten; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Doris Angeline Garner
  Williams and extend sympathy to the members of her family: to her
  children, Daurice Malina and her husband, Jerry, Margaret Richter,
  Wendell Williams, and Randy Williams and his wife, Shelly; to her
  grandchildren, Kyle Richter and his wife, Amanda, Richard Williams
  and his wife, Tish, Koy Richter and his wife, Janice, Susan Jarrell
  and her husband, Josh Carter, Misti Weaver and her husband, Chance,
  Shannon Williams and her fiancé, Simon Gilmore, Kenneth Jarrell and
  his wife, Abbey, Marli South and her husband, Bill, and Amy and Brad
  Williams; to her step-grandchildren, Julie Carling and her husband,
  Duncan, Jeff Malina, and Ashley Hardcastle; to her
  great-grandchildren, Daniel and Matthew Williams, Ariana Richter,
  Jackson Jarrell, Reed Carter, Kayli and Blane South, Brock Weaver,
  and Andrew Jarrell; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Doris
  Angeline Garner Williams.
