R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Kaitlin Elizabeth Brynes, the beloved daughter of |
|
Jeremy and Courtney Brynes of Houston, passed away on June 15, 2006; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on August 16, 2005, Kaitlin was faced with a |
|
diagnosis of spinal muscular atrophy type I, a genetic disease that |
|
would weaken her physically and ultimately claim her life, though |
|
it could not diminish her spirit; with her ready smile and bright |
|
eyes, she was adored by all those who had the privilege of her |
|
company; moreover, she delighted her loved ones with her laughter, |
|
cooing, and animated chatter; and |
|
WHEREAS, Kaitlin touched the lives of countless people, who |
|
found in her the true meaning of love; she brought out the best in |
|
them and inspired them to live each day to its fullest; her life |
|
also stood as a reminder of the enduring need to prevent and cure |
|
this devastating disease, and many people have been moved to take up |
|
its cause since sharing their hearts with Kaitlin; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although her time on this earth was far too brief, |
|
the memory of this cherished baby girl will forever shine in the |
|
hearts of all who knew her; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Kaitlin Elizabeth |
|
Brynes and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to |
|
her parents, Jeremy and Courtney Brynes; to her sister, Caroline |
|
Brynes; to her grandparents, Barbara and Donald Roseman and Steven |
|
and Debbie Brynes; to her uncles, Joshua Brynes and Gavin Roseman; |
|
and to all those who mourn her passing; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Kaitlin |
|
Elizabeth Brynes. |
