R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to |
|
recognize Constable Joe Don Law for his service to Kaufman County |
|
and the State of Texas; and |
|
WHEREAS, Dedicated to helping at-risk youth, Constable Law |
|
founded S.T.A.R. (Start Today Accepting Your Responsibility) in |
|
December 2006; the program is designed to provide assistance to |
|
youth who have been convicted of Class C misdemeanors; and |
|
WHEREAS, Constable Law and his staff have worked with more |
|
than 100 youth and have supervised over 2,200 hours of community |
|
service, and they remain focused on providing these young offenders |
|
with tools that will help them grow into responsible citizens; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Constable Joe Don Law for his many |
|
accomplishments with the Kaufman County S.T.A.R. program and extend |
|
to him best wishes for his future work; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Constable Law as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
