R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Houston teacher Frank W. Ward, Jr., has received a |
|
2006 Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award; and |
|
WHEREAS, One of the most prestigious educational honors in |
|
the nation, the Milken National Educator Award pays tribute to |
|
individuals who have demonstrated an exceptional talent for |
|
teaching as evidenced by their outstanding instruction, the success |
|
of their students, and their accomplishments beyond the classroom; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Ward is a graduate of Texas A&M University and |
|
the University of St. Thomas, where he earned a master's degree in |
|
education and an administrative certification; he has taught at |
|
Kashmere Gardens Elementary School since 1999; and |
|
WHEREAS, In fulfilling the duties of his noble calling, Mr. |
|
Ward sets a sterling example of excellence to which all educators |
|
may aspire, and his efforts on behalf of the youth of the Lone Star |
|
State have set many on the path to a bright and rewarding future; |
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Frank W. Ward, Jr., on his receipt |
|
of a 2006 Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award and |
|
extend to him best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Ward as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
