R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The certain knowledge of a life well lived may |
|
temper the profound sadness felt by those who mourn the passing of |
|
Wilma E. Scharrer of Frankenmuth, Michigan, on July 12, 2006, at the |
|
age of 79; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on February 15, 1927, in Richville, Michigan, |
|
Mrs. Scharrer was raised on a dairy farm, where she acquired a |
|
strong work ethic that remained with her the rest of her life; |
|
during her younger days, she worked as a waitress and a hostess; in |
|
1949 she married Arnold Scharrer and together they raised four |
|
children; their son, Gary, lives in Austin and works as a reporter |
|
for the San Antonio Express-News Austin Bureau; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Scharrer enjoyed a variety of activities, |
|
including gardening, cooking, canning, walking, and studying |
|
nutrition; she was also an avid card player and participated in |
|
weekly games of pinochle and euchre; and |
|
WHEREAS, Endowed with a lively spirit and vitality, Wilma |
|
Scharrer will long be remembered with great admiration and |
|
affection; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Wilma E. Scharrer and |
|
extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
husband, Arnold Scharrer; to her children, Gary Scharrer and his |
|
wife, Gay, Diane Pearl and her husband, Mark, Kurt Scharrer and his |
|
wife, Lisa, and Neal Scharrer, and his wife, Debra; to her |
|
grandchildren, Ryan, Austin, and Brianna Scharrer and David and |
|
Annie Kinitsky; to her sister, Luella Buchinger; to her |
|
sister-in-law, Doris Bierlein Heindl; to her brother-in-law, Jack |
|
Buchinger; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Wilma E. |
|
Scharrer. |
