R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, James Clayton Satterfield has attained the rank of
  Eagle Scout, and this accomplishment truly merits special
  recognition; and
         WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant
  honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the
  scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding
  criteria, James Satterfield earned the requisite 21 merit badges
  and successfully completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his
  community; and
         WHEREAS, Involved in scouting for 13 years, Mr. Satterfield
  is a member of the Order of the Arrow and attended Twin Arrows
  leadership training and the summer 2005 program at the Philmont
  Scout Ranch; this fine young Texan has been an inspiring role model
  throughout his scouting career, winning the respect and admiration
  of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the highest rank that
  scouting offers; and
         WHEREAS, A senior at Liberty Christian School in Argyle,
  where he takes advanced placement classes, Mr. Satterfield is
  active in the Spanish National Honor Society and has been a member
  of his school's varsity cross country, track, and swim teams during
  his high school career, qualifying for state as a junior in the 100m
  butterfly, 50m free, 200m medley relay, and 200m free relay events;
  in addition to his scouting and extracurricular activities, he has
  held a job and serves as a mentor to other young people; and
         WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Satterfield's dedication to excellence
  and his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him
  worthy to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect
  with pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate James Clayton Satterfield on
  attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best
  wishes for happiness and success in the coming years; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Satterfield as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
