R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends were deeply saddened by the death
  of McGregor resident Bill Lewallen, who passed away on January 22,
  2007, at the age of 62; and
         WHEREAS, Born to Willie Leonard and Garnett Elizabeth Beard
  Lewallen on October 4, 1944, in Waco, Mr. Lewallen was a graduate of
  Waco High School and continued his education at 4-C Business
  College; he worked for 35 years as a truck driver; and
         WHEREAS, He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the
  U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970, and he received the National Defense
  Service Medal, Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam
  Campaign Medal; and
         WHEREAS, Although his death has brought great sorrow to his
  loved ones, Bill Lewallen leaves behind many fond memories that
  they will treasure forever; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Bill Lewallen and
  extend sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, Brenda
  "Candy" Lewallen; to his children, William Calvin Lewallen, Jr.,
  and Michelle Nall and her husband, Kevin; to his stepchildren,
  Nathan Wayne Nance and Cynthia Diann Parker; to his grandchildren,
  William Franklin, Lauren Kelly, and Lindsey Taylor Lewallen; to his
  sister, Sandra Foster; and to his other relatives and friends; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Bill
  Lewallen.
