R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Words cannot diminish the pain of a young life ended
  too soon, and it is with great sadness that we join the family and
  friends of Christopher Aaron Pichon II of Houston in mourning his
  passing on September 18, 2006, at the age of 14; and
         WHEREAS, Born on December 8, 1991, Mr. Pichon was a sophomore
  in the Engineering Program at Booker T. Washington High School and
  was a member of the National Junior Honor Society and the junior
  varsity football team; in addition, he was a valued parishioner of
  St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, and he gave of his time and
  talents as a member of the Altar Servers, the Ambassadors of Christ,
  the People to People Student Ambassador Program, and the Jr.
  Knights of Saint Peter Claver (KPC); and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Pichon's involvement with the KPC included
  service as the recording secretary, inner/outer guard,
  parliamentarian, and treasurer of his local chapter; he officiated
  as treasurer and president of the state organization, and in these
  pivotal roles, he inspired countless individuals with his
  leadership and was instrumental in the success of a number of
  projects benefiting those in need; and
         WHEREAS, The tragic passing of Mr. Pichon has ended a life
  filled with promise, but his loved ones may take a measure of
  comfort in knowing that his accomplishments, his love and
  friendship, and his service to others will not be forgotten; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Christopher Aaron
  Pichon II and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family:
  to his parents, Christopher and Sonya Pichon; to his siblings,
  Cambrian and Cortney; to his grandparents, Percy and Margie Pichon,
  Eugene and Katie McAfee, and Billy and Faye Morgan; and to his many
  other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
  Christopher Aaron Pichon II.
