R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Beloved family man and respected attorney Crawford |
|
Duane Parker III of Carthage passed away on February 11, 2007, at |
|
the age of 48; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on August 18, 1958, in Houston, Mr. Parker |
|
graduated from Carthage High School in 1976, later attending Panola |
|
College and The University of Texas before graduating from Stephen |
|
F. Austin State University; and |
|
WHEREAS, After earning his law degree from Texas Southern |
|
University, he practiced law in his family's firm, Parker, |
|
McPherson, and Parker, and also participated in the Panola County |
|
Bar Association; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Parker married Cara Beth Simmons on September |
|
23, 1995, and two beloved children came from their union; and |
|
WHEREAS, A dearly loved husband, father, and son, Crawford |
|
Duane Parker III is missed by all those who were fortunate enough to |
|
have shared in the richness of his life; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Crawford Duane Parker |
|
III and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his |
|
wife, Cara Beth Parker; to his children, Crawford Duane Parker IV |
|
and Sarah Beth Parker; to his parents, Beth and Crawford Parker, |
|
Jr.; to his sisters, Donna Parker Ayers and her husband, Stephen, |
|
Elaine Parker McPherson and her husband, Rick, and Penny Parker |
|
Lowrey; and to his many other relatives and friends; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Crawford |
|
Duane Parker III. |
