R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Many fine citizens from Burleson are visiting the
  State Capitol on February 28, 2007, and their attendance provides a
  fitting opportunity to recognize the achievements of the Burleson
  Area Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Burleson, and the Miss
  Burleson Program; and
         WHEREAS, The Burleson Area Chamber of Commerce is an
  organization of businesses, professionals, and citizens who work
  together with the goal of supporting Burleson through economic and
  community development programs, and their efforts to promote the
  growth and advancement of the town are notable; and
         WHEREAS, This two-time national chamber of the year sponsors
  a number of worthwhile programs and services, including Leadership
  Burleson, which offers participants personal leadership training
  and instruction on vital public issues, including local and state
  government, education, health, economic development, and local
  heritage programs; the organization also supports the Miss Burleson
  Scholarship Pageant, and Miss Burleson 2007 Charity Hitt, a radio
  and television major at Stephen F. Austin State University, will
  represent her hometown in the Miss Texas Pageant; and
         WHEREAS, The direction and planning provided by the Burleson
  Area Chamber of Commerce have been truly invaluable to the
  betterment of this North Central Texas community, and the
  organization, its members, and its important programs are truly
  deserving of special commendation; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby honor the Burleson Area Chamber of Commerce,
  Leadership Burleson, and Miss Burleson 2007 Charity Hitt and
  welcome all those associated with the Burleson delegation to the
  State Capitol.
