R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Public-spirited women from throughout the Lone Star
  State are gathering in Austin on March 1, 2007, to celebrate Texas
  Federation of Republican Women Day at the Capitol; and
         WHEREAS, The members of the Texas Federation of Republican
  Women strive to encourage participation in the political process
  while actively supporting Republican candidates, providing
  strength and unity for political action, and encouraging Republican
  women to run for office; and
         WHEREAS, The federation held its organizational convention
  in October 1955; through the years, its members have volunteered
  countless hours to Republican Party candidates, offering
  year-round support and undertaking numerous special projects; and
         WHEREAS, Many of these notable women are present in the
  Capitol today, and the State of Texas is all the richer for the
  commitment, hard work, and enthusiasm they bring to their myriad
  endeavors; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize March 1, 2007, as Texas Federation of
  Republican Women Day at the Capitol and welcome the members of the
  organization who are visiting on this day; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
