H.R. No. 609
 
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A 65th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love
  and shared experiences, and Thomas and Thelma Reynolds of Houston
  are celebrating this joyous milestone in their marriage on February
  28, 2007; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Reynolds and the former Thelma Campbell were
  united in matrimony in 1942; they have since been blessed with four
  children, Thomas Truxton Reynolds, Jr., Donna Gail Gallien, Richard
  Larry Reynolds, and Gordon Craig Reynolds, as well as 10
  grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; long sustained by their
  faith, Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds have striven to instill in their family
  equally strong Christian values; and
         WHEREAS, Through the years, the pair have led busy lives;
  Mrs. Reynolds has given of her time and talents as a homemaker and
  Sunday school teacher, while Mr. Reynolds was employed with
  Southern Pacific Railroad, the Carnation Milk Company, and the
  McMillian Fence Company before opening his own business, Reynolds
  Screen & Iron Company; he also served as a member of the U.S. Army
  during World War II, and his courageous tour of duty included
  participation in the Battle of the Bulge and the Liberation of
  Paris; and
         WHEREAS, Thomas and Thelma Reynolds have enjoyed 65 years of
  abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an
  exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
  commitment; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Thomas and Thelma Reynolds on their
  65th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
  continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds as an expression of high regard
  by the Texas House of Representatives.
