R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, March 5, 2007, marks a very special day in the life
  of Ellen Marie Aycock of Killeen, and we join her many friends in
  honoring her on her 60th birthday; and
         WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, the former Marie
  McKamie was born on her family's farm, where she grew up picking
  corn and cotton; while attending the local high school, she fell in
  love with Jimmie Don Aycock, and the sweethearts were married in
  1967; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Aycock was a devoted homemaker for many years,
  and her children, Jimmie and Michelle, benefited from her
  nurturing, insight, and wisdom; today, she is also a doting
  grandmother to Taylor and Madison Aycock and Casper and Casey
  Smith, and she supports her husband in his work representing the
  constituents of District 54 in the Texas House; and
         WHEREAS, In addition to her role as wife and mother, Mrs.
  Aycock has owned a successful store and served as a bookkeeper in
  her husband's veterinary clinic; a valued member of First Baptist
  Church of Killeen and the Killeen Wednesday Review Club, she enjoys
  many interests, including nature photography and quilting; above
  all, she is devoted to her faith and to her family and friends; and
         WHEREAS, With her warm and generous spirit, Marie Aycock
  enriches the lives of all who know her, and she contributes greatly
  to her family and community through her many purposeful endeavors;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Ellen Marie Aycock on the joyous
  occasion of her 60th birthday and extend to her best wishes for
  continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mrs. Aycock as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
