R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary is truly cause for |
|
|
rejoicing, and Don and Lois Van Wart of Houston celebrated this |
|
|
momentous milestone on October 13, 2006; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Van Wart were joined in matrimony in |
|
|
1956 at a ceremony held in Houston; through the years, they have |
|
|
been blessed with a treasured family that includes two children and |
|
|
their spouses, Jeff Van Wart and his wife, Linda, and Jill Van Wart |
|
|
Hood and her husband, Bill, as well as five grandchildren: Jay, |
|
|
Elaine, and Carson Van Wart and William and Ramsey Hood; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of the community, Mr. Van Wart |
|
|
continues to work and spends much of his time organizing hunting |
|
|
activities, and Mrs. Van Wart regularly participates in various |
|
|
political activities; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The 50 years that Mr. and Mrs. Van Wart have shared |
|
|
is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and commitment, and |
|
|
their enduring union is an inspiration to all who know them; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby warmly congratulate Don and Lois Van Wart on |
|
|
their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Van Wart as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
