R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A 65th wedding anniversary is truly a cause for |
|
|
celebration, and on February 14, 2007, Herman and Dorothea Bennett |
|
|
marked such a milestone; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The couple, who have been lifelong residents of |
|
|
Commerce, owned and operated Sparks Cleaners for 50 years; they are |
|
|
the parents of three children, Grant, Dianne, and the late Herman |
|
|
Bennett III, and their family now includes children-in-law Dawn |
|
|
Bennett, Kin Lowe, and Elizabeth Bennett, as well as seven |
|
|
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For 65 years, Herman and Dorothea Bennett have |
|
|
shared a union filled with many happy times and cherished family |
|
|
memories; their commitment to each other is a source of pride and |
|
|
inspiration to their friends and family, and it is indeed |
|
|
appropriate that they be honored at this time; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Herman and Dorothea Bennett on the |
|
|
occasion of their 65th wedding anniversary and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued happiness together; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Bennett as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
