R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and
  meaningful accomplishments may comfort the family and friends of
  Clint James Luksa of Caldwell, who passed away on January 24, 2007;
  and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Luksa was born on February 16, 1936, to Adolph P.
  and Fannie Kovar Luksa; he was a graduate of Caldwell High School,
  where he was active in FFA and received the Lone Star Farmer Award;
  and
         WHEREAS, A member of the United States Army Reserve, this
  respected Texan served for 29 years as the constable for Precinct 1;
  in addition, he was a lifelong rancher and successful businessman,
  having owned and operated several enterprises, including service
  stations in Deanville and Caldwell, the Silver Spur-Hitching Post
  in Deanville, and the Luksa Mobile Home and Land Sales Company; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Luksa gave generously of his time and talents to
  a number of civic organizations; a strong supporter of the Burleson
  County Youth Livestock Show and Burleson County Fair Association,
  he was treasurer of the SPJST Cemetery Association and a member of
  the Burleson County Czech Heritage Museum, the Order of the Sons of
  Hermann Lodge, R.V.O.S. Lodge No. 7, SPJST Lodge No. 186, and SPJST
  Lodge No. 7, which he served as president; moreover, he was a valued
  congregant of Cooks Point Brethren Church and volunteered as an
  auctioneer for many area benefits; and
         WHEREAS, Clint Luksa made lasting contributions to his
  community, and although he will be deeply missed, his memory will
  live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Clint Luksa and extend
  sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, Faye
  Luksa; to his stepsons, Darren and Roger Broesche; to his
  step-grandson, Garrett Broesche; to his nieces, Crystal Cox, Faye
  McConnell, and Debbie and Edith Luksa; to his nephew, Douglas
  Luksa; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Clint
  Luksa.
