R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, United States Army Staff Sergeant Juan M. Salinas is
  deserving of our highest praise for his exemplary service in behalf
  of this country; and
         WHEREAS, A member of Bravo Company, 1st Infantry, 141st
  Division based at Fort Hood, Staff Sergeant Salinas served more
  than a year in Kosovo, demonstrating steadfast courage and an
  unwavering commitment to his mission; and
         WHEREAS, Staff Sergeant Salinas fulfilled a longtime
  ambition when he joined the U.S. Army; the son of proud parents
  Rafael and Edolina Saenz, he is a 1999 graduate of Alice High
  School, where he was a valued member of the ROTC program; and
         WHEREAS, Through his devotion to duty, honor, and this
  nation, Staff Sergeant Salinas embodies the highest ideals of the
  U.S. armed forces, and his service has earned him the sincere
  appreciation of his fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby honor U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Juan M. Salinas
  for his courageous service in Kosovo and extend to him sincere best
  wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Staff Sergeant Salinas as an expression of high regard
  by the Texas House of Representatives.
