R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, United States Army Staff Sergeant Juan M. Salinas is |
|
deserving of our highest praise for his exemplary service in behalf |
|
of this country; and |
|
WHEREAS, A member of Bravo Company, 1st Infantry, 141st |
|
Division based at Fort Hood, Staff Sergeant Salinas served more |
|
than a year in Kosovo, demonstrating steadfast courage and an |
|
unwavering commitment to his mission; and |
|
WHEREAS, Staff Sergeant Salinas fulfilled a longtime |
|
ambition when he joined the U.S. Army; the son of proud parents |
|
Rafael and Edolina Saenz, he is a 1999 graduate of Alice High |
|
School, where he was a valued member of the ROTC program; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through his devotion to duty, honor, and this |
|
nation, Staff Sergeant Salinas embodies the highest ideals of the |
|
U.S. armed forces, and his service has earned him the sincere |
|
appreciation of his fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby honor U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Juan M. Salinas |
|
for his courageous service in Kosovo and extend to him sincere best |
|
wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Staff Sergeant Salinas as an expression of high regard |
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
