R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Centro de Salud Familiar La Fe health |
|
|
organization has served El Paso County for four decades and has |
|
|
improved the lives of countless area citizens; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Started by the Ochoa Parents Association in 1967, |
|
|
Centro de Salud Familiar La Fe has grown into a multisite, |
|
|
multiservice clinic that offers different types of assistance to a |
|
|
wide range of residents, including children, adolescents, women, |
|
|
and senior citizens; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The motto of this organization is "to improve the |
|
|
quality of life of those we serve by continuously enhancing the |
|
|
health and human services provided"; to fulfill that mission, La Fe |
|
|
stresses preventive medicine and utilizes innovative approaches to |
|
|
promote pediatric health; the center also focuses on serving |
|
|
patients who have been infected with HIV, offering specialized |
|
|
treatment at the HIV AIDS Care Center; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Centro de Salud Familiar La Fe stands as an |
|
|
uplifting example of the impact a group of concerned citizens can |
|
|
have when they take initiatives to improve the quality of life for |
|
|
their families, friends, and neighbors; the essential services and |
|
|
education the La Fe staff provide to the residents of the city of El |
|
|
Paso and greater El Paso County have enhanced the quality of health |
|
|
care in West Texas, and the organization's exemplary efforts are |
|
|
indeed deserving of recognition; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Centro de Salud Familiar La Fe for their |
|
|
40 years of dedicated service and extend sincere best wishes to its |
|
|
founders, staff, and volunteers for continued success in their |
|
|
vital work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the organization as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
