R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The tragic death of U.S. Army Sergeant Daniel Lee |
|
Galvan on August 12, 2004, in Afghanistan, brought a great loss to |
|
all who were privileged to know this brave soldier; and |
|
WHEREAS, A native of Mercedes, Sergeant Galvan followed in |
|
the footsteps of his father and brothers when he joined the |
|
military; he served with distinction as a pilot and member of the |
|
2nd Battalion, 25th Aviation Regiment, 25th Light Infantry |
|
Division; and |
|
WHEREAS, Daniel Galvan's energetic and optimistic |
|
personality endeared him to his family and friends, and his bravery |
|
inspired a community; through his unwavering dedication to duty and |
|
honor, Sergeant Galvan embodied the highest ideals of the armed |
|
services, and the memory of his love and friendship will always be |
|
treasured by those who were privileged to know him; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of U.S. Army Sergeant |
|
Daniel Lee Galvan and extend deepest sympathy to all those who mourn |
|
his passing; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of U.S. Army |
|
Sergeant Daniel Lee Galvan. |
