R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary is a joyous event, and |
|
|
Joe and Joyce Archer marked this momentous occasion on January 12, |
|
|
2007; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Married on that special day in 1957, the couple |
|
|
lived in Irving for 28 years before moving to Alba in 1984; they |
|
|
owned and operated Archer Excavating for more than two decades and |
|
|
are now enjoying retirement; both are valued congregants of |
|
|
Cottonwood Community Assembly of God Church; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Archer count among their blessings a |
|
|
wonderful family that includes three daughters, Sherill Logan, |
|
|
Susan Berger, and Lisa Young, eight grandchildren, and one |
|
|
great-grandson; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The steadfast love that Mr. and Mrs. Archer share |
|
|
for one another is a continuing source of joy and inspiration for |
|
|
those who know them, and it is a pleasure to take this opportunity |
|
|
to honor this devoted pair; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Joe and Joyce Archer on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness together; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Archer as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
