R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The counseling team at El Dorado High School in
  El Paso has earned the CREST award from the Texas School Counselor
  Association; and
         WHEREAS, CREST, which stands for Counselors Reinforcing
  Excellence for Students in Texas, is an awards program designed to
  recognize outstanding school counseling programs throughout the
  Lone Star State; and
         WHEREAS, Truly deserving recipients of this accolade, the
  El Dorado High School team includes Marshall Ponce, Alicia O'Quinn,
  Mary Golden, Dianna Lujan-Enriquez, Sylvia Gonzalez, and Sandra
  Flores; and
         WHEREAS, This dedicated group has worked to foster the social
  and emotional growth of students to help them succeed academically
  and personally; by focusing on the total child, they have helped
  young men and women develop interpersonal relationship,
  problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills that will be
  important throughout each individual's life; and
         WHEREAS, Children are our most valuable resource, and those
  who labor in behalf of the youth of Texas are making a firm
  investment in the future of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby honor the counseling team from El Dorado High
  School on earning the CREST award and commend these fine Texans on
  their contributions to the students of El Dorado High; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
