R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love
  and shared experiences, and Dale and Sandra Bebee of Ozona are
  celebrating this joyous occasion on March 16, 2007; and
         WHEREAS, Literally knocked off his feet by his bride-to-be,
  Mr. Bebee met his future wife in Hobbs, New Mexico, when the former
  Sandra Sue Carter flung open the door to the Immanuel Baptist
  Church, just as he was about to enter the building; and
         WHEREAS, The couple married in 1957, at a ceremony held in the
  same church that facilitated their fateful meeting; they have since
  been blessed with three daughters, Belinda, Karen, and Kimberly, as
  well as their cherished grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, For more than 40 years, Mr. Bebee enjoyed a
  successful career in the oil and gas industry, working in Hobbs,
  Odessa, and Ozona before a transfer to Oklahoma, where he was
  eventually promoted to area manager of operations for Ladd
  Petroleum; in 1994, he and his wife returned to Ozona, where their
  family had earlier spent many happy years; Mr. Bebee operated his
  own consulting business before retiring in 1999; and
         WHEREAS, In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Mrs.
  Bebee has played an active role in her community; a charter member
  of and pianist for Belvue Baptist Church in Hobbs, she was a Brownie
  Girl Scout leader in Odessa and a tireless volunteer in Ozona, where
  she was recognized as an outstanding leader by the city's youth
  center; she continues her community involvement today as a member
  of numerous clubs and organizations, including the Crockett County
  Care Center, which she serves as a board member, and together she
  and her husband enjoy traveling and spending time with family and
  friends; and
         WHEREAS, Sandy and Dale Bebee have shared five decades of
  abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an
  exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
  commitment; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Dale and Sandra Bebee on their
  golden wedding anniversary and extend to them warmest best wishes
  for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Bebee as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
