R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends were deeply saddened by the
  passing of Sandra Stewart of Wake Village on January 19, 2007, yet
  the memory of her full and rewarding life may offer comfort in their
  time of loss; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Texarkana, Arkansas, on February 6, 1948,
  the former Sandra Johnson received bachelor's and master's degrees
  in voice and vocal pedagogy; she went on to a notable career as a
  music teacher and choir director at Liberty-Eylau Middle and High
  Schools; after retiring in 2001, she went on to teach voice and
  music appreciation at Texarkana Community College; and
         WHEREAS, A lifelong participant in church music ministry as a
  vocalist, pianist, worship leader, and choir director, Mrs. Stewart
  was a welcome addition to the staff of Williams Memorial United
  Methodist Church as director of children's music; among her
  favorite experiences were helping create and performing in the
  annual Children's Festival worship services; she also codirected
  the All City Bi-State Children's Choir and was a member of the
  P.E.O. and regional chorale; and
         WHEREAS, Held in the highest regard by all who knew her,
  Sandra Stewart brought a generosity of spirit and an infectious
  enthusiasm to all her endeavors, and she built a life that was
  remarkably rich in family, friends, and accomplishments; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Sandra Stewart and
  extend deepest condolences to the members of her family: to her
  husband, Ronald Stewart; to her daughter, Heather Dorr, and her
  husband, Ben; to her grandson, Samuel Lyman Dorr; to her mother, Joy
  Johnson; to her brother, Ron Johnson, and his wife, Dottie; to her
  sister, Julie Johnson, and her husband, Jerry Masterson; and to her
  other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Sandra
  Stewart.
