R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, James Trudell, Jr., of Dallas died on February 17,
  2007, leaving his circle of family and friends with many treasured
  memories of time spent in his company; and
         WHEREAS, Born on February 23, 1929, in Dallas, "Mr. Red" was
  the son of James Trudell, Sr., and Lee Gusta Jacobs Trudell; the
  family moved to Idabel, Oklahoma, and he united with First Baptist
  Church; and
         WHEREAS, When he returned to Dallas, Mr. Trudell became a
  valued congregant of the New Christian Workers Missionary Baptist
  Church in Dallas, where he shared his faith and his resources with
  his fellow worshipers; and
         WHEREAS, A true and faithful friend to many, a devoted
  companion to his wife, and a caring father and adored grandfather,
  James Trudell, Jr., will be deeply missed, but he will always be
  remembered with great affection; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of James Trudell, Jr.,
  and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his
  wife of 37 years, Dorothy Lee Trudell; to his sons, Robert Simmons
  and Cedrick Jackson; to his brother and sister, Jimmy Jacobs and
  Mary Roddy; to his 11 grandchildren; and to his many other relatives
  and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of James
  Trudell, Jr.
