R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, James Trudell, Jr., of Dallas died on February 17, |
|
2007, leaving his circle of family and friends with many treasured |
|
memories of time spent in his company; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on February 23, 1929, in Dallas, "Mr. Red" was |
|
the son of James Trudell, Sr., and Lee Gusta Jacobs Trudell; the |
|
family moved to Idabel, Oklahoma, and he united with First Baptist |
|
Church; and |
|
WHEREAS, When he returned to Dallas, Mr. Trudell became a |
|
valued congregant of the New Christian Workers Missionary Baptist |
|
Church in Dallas, where he shared his faith and his resources with |
|
his fellow worshipers; and |
|
WHEREAS, A true and faithful friend to many, a devoted |
|
companion to his wife, and a caring father and adored grandfather, |
|
James Trudell, Jr., will be deeply missed, but he will always be |
|
remembered with great affection; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of James Trudell, Jr., |
|
and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his |
|
wife of 37 years, Dorothy Lee Trudell; to his sons, Robert Simmons |
|
and Cedrick Jackson; to his brother and sister, Jimmy Jacobs and |
|
Mary Roddy; to his 11 grandchildren; and to his many other relatives |
|
and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of James |
|
Trudell, Jr. |
