R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with many joyful times and |
|
meaningful accomplishments may comfort the family and friends of |
|
Bruce Harold Hanssen of Menard County, who passed away on February |
|
8, 2007, at the age of 70; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on November 3, 1936, in Oak Park, Illinois, |
|
Bruce Hanssen moved to Texas as a child and graduated from Woodrow |
|
Wilson High School in Dallas in 1955; he attended college at |
|
Southern Methodist University and earned a bachelor of science |
|
degree in 1960; a mechanical engineer in Dallas for more than 40 |
|
years, Mr. Hanssen was employed at two consulting firms before |
|
concluding his career with CCRD Partners; he retired in 2001; and |
|
WHEREAS, A vital man who took great enjoyment in nature |
|
throughout his life, Mr. Hanssen was an active member of the Dallas |
|
Woods & Waters Club, an organization that works to conserve land and |
|
wildlife for future generations; and |
|
WHEREAS, Bruce Hanssen leaves behind a proud legacy as a |
|
devoted husband, father, and grandfather and as a faithful friend, |
|
and he will truly be missed by those who were fortunate enough to |
|
share in the richness of his life; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Bruce Harold Hanssen |
|
and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his |
|
wife of 50 years, Claudia Hanssen; to his children, Keith Hanssen |
|
and his wife, Anna, and Elizabeth Davis and her husband, Dale; to |
|
his grandchildren, Shawn and Nicole Crawford; to his |
|
great-granddaughter, Angel; and to his other relatives and many |
|
friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Bruce |
|
Harold Hanssen. |
