R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, March 31, 2007, will indeed be a special day for |
|
|
Florence Smith Rousseau and Lewis Marlin Barker, for on that day |
|
|
they will exchange their wedding vows at Auburn University Chapel |
|
|
and embark on a new life together as husband and wife; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This devoted couple were first introduced in 2003 by |
|
|
"Flossie" Rousseau's daughter, Glenna; the fateful meeting took |
|
|
place at a party held in the home of "Buddy" Barker, who is a |
|
|
professor of research psychology at Auburn University; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Their impending nuptials have brought great joy to |
|
|
their close-knit family and circle of friends; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This blessed event will mark a profound deepening of |
|
|
a relationship that has grown in love, respect, and mutual regard |
|
|
with each passing day, and it is truly a pleasure to honor this |
|
|
fortunate couple at this time; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Flossie Smith Rousseau and Buddy |
|
|
Marlin Barker on the joyous occasion of their wedding and extend to |
|
|
them warmest best wishes for much happiness together; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
