R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, March 25, 2007, is truly a special day for Terry and
  Jenni Franks of Austin, for on that date they are celebrating their
  first wedding anniversary; and
         WHEREAS, Terry Franks and the former Jenni Sellers met in
  Washington, D.C., at the 2001 Inaugural Ball for President George
  W. Bush while both worked for the Texas Legislature; Ms. Sellers
  returned to her hometown of Houston at the end of the 77th Session,
  while Mr. Franks continued his employment with the Texas Senate;
  and
         WHEREAS, More than four years later, the two were reunited
  when the threat of Hurricane Rita led Ms. Sellers to evacuate to
  Austin; Mr. Franks proposed marriage on the evening of September
  24, 2005, at Lake Travis, and the couple were married the following
  spring; and
         WHEREAS, Today, Mr. Franks serves as deputy chief of staff
  for Senator Dan Patrick, while Mrs. Franks is legislative director
  in the office of Representative Dan Flynn; avid Longhorn fans, the
  pair enjoy helping organize Capitol UT tailgate parties and
  entertaining friends and family; Mrs. Franks counts cooking,
  sewing, gardening, and reading among her favorite hobbies, while
  Mr. Franks is an outdoors and sports enthusiast who finds pleasure
  in league softball, golf, and hunting; they both take delight in
  their beloved dog, Annie Bear; and
         WHEREAS, Over the past year, Jenni and Terry Franks have
  brightened each others' lives with laughter, kindness, and mutual
  devotion, and the strength of their love and commitment ensures
  that many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Terry and Jenni Franks on the occasion of
  their first wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best
  wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
