R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A golden wedding anniversary is truly cause for |
|
|
celebration, and Joe and Shirley Bienvenu of Longview commemorated |
|
|
this joyous milestone in their lives on January 26, 2007; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The couple were married in 1957 at a ceremony held at |
|
|
St. Peter's Catholic Church in New Iberia, Louisiana; they have |
|
|
been blessed with three daughters, Joellyn Custead and her husband, |
|
|
Dave, Karen Dulweber and her husband, Vincent, and Jean Mosby, and |
|
|
they have welcomed into their family five adored grandchildren, |
|
|
Daniel, Marie, and Amy Custead and Katherine and Lauren Dulweber; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Bienvenu was an ensign in the U.S. Navy during |
|
|
World War II; he later was chief chemist with Morton Salt Company at |
|
|
Weeks Island, Louisiana, and research chemist with Petrolite in |
|
|
Kilgore; Mrs. Bienvenu was an elementary schoolteacher with schools |
|
|
in Louisiana, Kilgore, and Longview; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joe and Shirley Bienvenu share an enduring union |
|
|
that is a confirmation of the meaning of love and devotion and an |
|
|
encouragement to all who know them, and they indeed merit special |
|
|
recognition; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Joe and Shirley Bienvenu on their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness together; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Bienvenu as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
