R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Monte and Novell Griffin of Lamesa celebrated their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary on June 9, 2006, and they may indeed |
|
|
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Monte Griffin and the former Novell Franks exchanged |
|
|
the vows of matrimony at the Lamesa Church of Christ on that special |
|
|
day in 1956, and over the course of their marriage, they have found |
|
|
in each other a devoted life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Griffin count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes their children, Gayle Griffin, Cari |
|
|
Doguet, and Cleet Griffin and his wife, Karen, as well as five |
|
|
grandchildren with whom they share the many special occasions of |
|
|
life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For half a century, Monte and Novell Griffin have |
|
|
together enjoyed laughter, kindness, and affection, and it is a |
|
|
pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Monte and Novell Griffin on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Griffin as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
