R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Tom and Mary Burger of Midland celebrated their 60th |
|
|
wedding anniversary on November 28, 2006, and they may indeed |
|
|
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Burger exchanged the vows of matrimony |
|
|
on that special day in 1946, and over the course of their marriage, |
|
|
they have found in each other a devoted life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Burger count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes their children, Donald and his wife, |
|
|
Maria, Donna and her husband, Al, and Doug and his wife, Lu, with |
|
|
whom they share the many special occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For six decades, Tom and Mary Burger have brightened |
|
|
each other's lives with laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it is |
|
|
a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Tom and Mary Burger on their 60th |
|
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Burger as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
