R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, C. W. and Eula Calhoun celebrated their 70th wedding |
|
|
anniversary on August 15, 2006, and they may indeed reflect with joy |
|
|
on the rewarding relationship they have shared; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, C. W. Calhoun and the former Eula Hardin exchanged |
|
|
the vows of matrimony in Midland on that special day in 1936, and |
|
|
over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a |
|
|
devoted life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Cattle ranchers who have spent much of their |
|
|
marriage living in Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Calhoun today reside in |
|
|
Goodman, Missouri, and they count among their blessings a fine |
|
|
family that includes their children, Rayford and Carl Calhoun and |
|
|
Glenda Mueller, as well as eight grandchildren and three |
|
|
great-grandchildren with whom they share the many special occasions |
|
|
of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For seven decades, C. W. and Eula Calhoun have |
|
|
together enjoyed laughter, kindness, and affection, and it is a |
|
|
pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate C. W. and Eula Calhoun on their |
|
|
70th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Calhoun as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
