R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jim and Thelma Westfall of Midland celebrated their |
|
|
60th wedding anniversary on October 26, 2006, and they may indeed |
|
|
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Jim Westfall and the former Thelma Bonds exchanged |
|
|
the vows of matrimony in Amarillo on that special day in 1946, and |
|
|
over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a |
|
|
devoted life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Westfall count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes their children, Dale Westfall, Jan |
|
|
Thedford, and San Francis, and five grandchildren, with whom they |
|
|
share the many special occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Still leading active lives, Mr. Westfall is |
|
|
self-employed, while Mrs. Westfall works in retail; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For six decades, Jim and Thelma Westfall have |
|
|
brightened each other's lives with laughter, kindness, and |
|
|
devotion, and it is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring |
|
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jim and Thelma Westfall on their |
|
|
60th wedding anniversary and extend to them best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Westfall as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
