R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, John and Margaret Young of Midland celebrated their |
|
|
65th wedding anniversary on June 7, 2006, and they may indeed |
|
|
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, John Young and the former Margaret Lawson exchanged |
|
|
the vows of matrimony in Beeville on that special day in 1941, and |
|
|
over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a |
|
|
devoted life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Young count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes their children, Dr. John W. Young, Jr., |
|
|
and Alice Young Freidline, as well as four grandchildren and two |
|
|
great-grandchildren with whom they share the many special occasions |
|
|
of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For 65 years, John and Margaret Young have together |
|
|
enjoyed laughter, kindness, and affection, and it is a pleasure to |
|
|
honor them for their enduring commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate John and Margaret Young on their |
|
|
65th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Young as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
