R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The hard work and perseverance of Cade Verett of |
|
|
Klondike was recognized at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, when |
|
|
his Yorkshire pig captured grand champion honors in the junior |
|
|
barrow division; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Verett's 267-pound middle weight barrow bested |
|
|
more than 4,000 competitors to earn the coveted title, and the |
|
|
animal was also named the Yorkshire breed champion; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This talented young Texan is a sixth-grade student |
|
|
in the Klondike Independent School District; he is the son of |
|
|
Mechelle and Scott Scarborough and a valued junior member of his FFA |
|
|
chapter; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Verett has demonstrated the dedication and |
|
|
commitment required to raise a champion, and his achievement |
|
|
heralds a future bright with promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Cade Verett on his pig's selection |
|
|
as grand champion at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo junior barrow |
|
|
competition and extend to Mr. Verett best wishes for continued |
|
|
success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Verett as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
