R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, During the 80th Legislature, Kelley Hopes has ably |
|
|
served her fellow Texans as an intern in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Yvonne Davis; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Hopes, an economics major at the University of |
|
|
North Texas, is pursuing additional coursework at Mountain View |
|
|
College; she was invited to the Capitol through that school's |
|
|
government internship program, and her participation in this |
|
|
endeavor is a reflection of her talent and determination; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, From March 13 to March 15, 2007, this noteworthy |
|
|
young Texan has contributed to the workings of state government |
|
|
firsthand; in addition to enhancing her knowledge of the |
|
|
legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star |
|
|
State, she has gained valuable work experience in the field of |
|
|
public service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Hopes has performed her duties as a legislative |
|
|
intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed deserving of |
|
|
special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Kelley Hopes for her service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Yvonne |
|
|
Davis and extend to her warmest best wishes for great success in all |
|
|
her future endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Hopes as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
