R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Texas Education Agency has named Robin Fry of
  the Lewisville Independent School District the 2006 Region XI
  Teacher of the Year, and her selection for this honor provides an
  ideal opportunity to recognize this outstanding Texas teacher; and
         WHEREAS, Now in her 15th year as a teacher, Ms. Fry currently
  serves as a physical education instructor at Bluebonnet Elementary
  School in Flower Mound; a former fifth-grade teacher, she has
  taught at Bluebonnet since it opened in August 2000 and has twice
  been named the school's Teacher of the Year; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Fry is also a two-time finalist for the
  Lewisville ISD Teacher of the Year award, and she took home that
  prestigious honor in 2005-2006; she is a recipient of the Horace
  Mann Scholarship and the Association of Texas Professional
  Educators Scholarship, and she holds a lifetime membership in the
  National Parent Teacher Association; and
         WHEREAS, In being selected as a Regional Teacher of the Year,
  Ms. Fry has demonstrated excellence in the challenging and
  rewarding field of education; she is an inspiration both to her
  students and to her fellow teachers, and it is a pleasure to
  recognize her for this significant achievement; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Robin Fry on her selection as a TEA
  2006 Region XI Teacher of the Year and commend her for her
  dedication to teaching young Texans; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Fry as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
