R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A golden wedding anniversary is a special milestone |
|
|
for all couples, but for Steve and Mary Hurtado of Waco, it is truly |
|
|
a testament of unconditional love and hope; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This devoted pair were married on August 17, 1957, |
|
|
in Waco, and since that time they have continued to nurture a strong |
|
|
bond that has grown ever deeper in admiration, trust, and mutual |
|
|
respect; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hurtado have raised five sons, and time |
|
|
shared with one another has always been the most important |
|
|
expression of love for this close-knit family; they have enjoyed |
|
|
extensive travels together, touring much of the United States |
|
|
during their five decades of marriage; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Though the world has changed considerably since they |
|
|
exchanged their wedding vows half a century ago, the couple |
|
|
continues to cherish traditional family values; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Steve and Mary Hurtado's commitment to each other |
|
|
remains a source of inspiration and joy to all those dear to them, |
|
|
and it is indeed a pleasure to share their moving love story; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Steve and Mary Hurtado on their 50th |
|
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Hurtado as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
