R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love |
|
|
and shared experiences, and Earnest and Betty Moore of Midland |
|
|
celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on June 30, |
|
|
2006; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earnest Moore and the former Betty L. Adams were |
|
|
joined in matrimony in 1956, in Gatesville; through the years, they |
|
|
have been blessed with a treasured family that includes their |
|
|
children, Darlene Hill and her husband, Kevin, and James Moore and |
|
|
his wife, Jamie, as well as four grandchildren, Jennifer, Ashley, |
|
|
Jared, and Justin; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Moore |
|
|
served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955 and is retired from Gulf |
|
|
Oil Corporation, and Mrs. Moore has been employed with Baker |
|
|
Petrolite for 27 years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Moore have enjoyed five decades of |
|
|
abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an |
|
|
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Earnest and Betty Moore on their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Moore as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
