R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, June 18, 2006, marked the 50th wedding anniversary |
|
|
of Andy and Adela Salgado of Odessa, and this joyous event has |
|
|
provided a fitting opportunity to reflect on their memorable |
|
|
journey together as husband and wife; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Andy Salgado and the former Adela Marmolejo were |
|
|
joined in matrimony in 1956, at a ceremony in Midland; through the |
|
|
years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that includes |
|
|
four children, Silda Inglish, Andrew Salgado, Belinda Hinckley, and |
|
|
Ray Salgado, as well as seven grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. and Mrs. |
|
|
Salgado have owned and operated a janitorial service for the past 25 |
|
|
years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The 50 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Salgado |
|
|
have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and |
|
|
commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who |
|
|
know them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Andy and Adela Salgado on their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Salgado as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
