R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jimmy and Ginger Floyd of Midland celebrated their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary on January 26, 2007, and they may indeed |
|
|
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Jimmy Floyd and the former Ginger Lane exchanged the |
|
|
vows of matrimony in Sterling City on that special day in 1957, and |
|
|
over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a |
|
|
loving life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes their children, Renee Rogers and her |
|
|
husband, Scott, Jay Floyd and his wife, Missy, Stephen Floyd and his |
|
|
wife, Susan, and the Reverend Alan Hawkins and his wife, Angela, as |
|
|
well as 11 grandchildren with whom they share the many special |
|
|
occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For half a century, Jimmy and Ginger Floyd have |
|
|
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it |
|
|
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jimmy and Ginger Floyd on their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Floyd as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
